Supporting Indigenous Ministries

The greatest numerical growth of the Christian faith in all history has taken place over the past few decades in many parts of the non-Western world. However, until fairly recently, few Christian mission agencies in the Western world existed specifically to assist and enhance the work of indigenous ministries. Today, over a hundred mission agencies identify themselves as being primarily concerned with supporting independent missionary movements in the non-Western world.
This book promotes discussion of the issues involved in supporting these movements and contributes to the growing awareness that missionaries of other nations deserve the same care and support we afford our own. |
